東東京の歴史を数年かけてリサーチしてきた寺尾紗穂が、かつてこの地で生きていた「女工」を題材とした物語を小林エリカに依頼、青葉市子とともに物語を読み、歌い、奏でます。女工たちが働いていた東京モスリン吾嬬工場の跡に建てられた、隅田川に繋がる北十間川にほど近い文花団地。そぼ降る雨の中、女工たちが実際に歌っていた歌が響き、団地の踊り場で遠い遠い過去の記憶が蘇ります。
Saho Terao, who has spent several years researching the history of East Tokyo, commissioned Erika Kobayashi to write a story about the women spinning mill workers who once lived in this area, and will perform it with Ichiko Aoba. Built on the site of the Tokyo Muslin Azuma Plant, where the women workers worked, Bunka Danchi (a housing development) is located near the Kitajukken River, which connects to the Sumida River. In the drizzling rain, the songs actually sung by the women workers echoed in the air. Memories of the distant past come back to life on a landing of the housing development.
